Teens Need Morning Light!!

Teens are spending more time indoors and missing out the essential morning light needed to stimulate the body's 24-hour biological system. The teens missing morning light are more likely to not get enough sleep. The morning-light- deprived students go to bed later, getting less sleep and under-performing on standardized tests. When the students do not get exposed to morning light in the morning, then it delays the onset of melatonin, the hormone that indicates nighttime. The schools are not providing the electric light or daylight to stimulate this system, regulating body temperature, alertness, appetite, hormones, and sleep patterns. Our systems are more sensitive to light, therefore, it is necessary to have light in the classroom that can stimulate our biological system.

Bob is saying, "A good morning light is sooo refreshing!!! Light bulbs will never be able to replace it!!"
