There are 5 stages of sleep.
1: Non -REM(rapid eye movement)
- Between sleep and wake
- Brain waves relax
- Light sleep
- Person can be easily woken
- Deeper stage of relaxation
- Person is generally unresponsive
- Heartbeat and respiration rate decrease
- Muscles relax
- Eyes twitch
- Heart rate and breathing become more irregular
