Sleep Deprivation

Sleep Deprivation
What is it?
Sleep deprivation is a term to describe the fact that most of the people living in the U.S. is not getting enough sleep.
Teens should get around 9 hours of sleep and adults should get around 7-8 hours of sleep.

What is the effect of it?
When people are sleep deprived...
1. The brain does not function well.
2. The heart becomes weaker
3. The immune system gets weaker
4. The body is more likely to get obese
5. The body becomes tired and tries to fall asleep while you are awake
